The Data and Recordkeeping Policy provides policy statements addressing the following:

  • data is included in the definition of record under the Public Records Act 1973
  • data must be managed in accordance with PROV Standards
  • disposal of data requires authorisation from the Keeper of Public Records, which is through Retention and Disposal Authorities and the principle of Normal Administrative Practice.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples should be aware the collection and website may contain images, voices and names of deceased persons.
