Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) is the archive of the State Government of Victoria. We hold more than 100 kilometres of original public records. Examples of some of these records can be found within the pages of this book. There are records and stories that may surprise or shock you, records of iconic people and records of great significance to all Victorians of the past, present and future.
